in ähnlicher Deutlichkeit. Ein komplexer und in einigen schwer erträglichen Gewaltszenen sicher auch kontroverser Abschluss der mit Hexenkessel
und Good Fellas begonnenen moralischen Gangstergeschichten Martin Scorseses.“ Die hinter
virtuosen filmischen Einfällen verborgene unmelodramatische
Genauigkeit dieses Porträts verweigert sich rein emotionalem Zugang und macht den Film für das Publikum schwerer konsumierbar.
